Where did I put my shoes?!

If your like me, you could never find enough storage for your things. I am always in need of a place to put my shoes (& all my clothes I wear haha), a bookcase to store my books, & something to cramp all those knickknacks I acculmulate over the years. Container store can work wonders sometimes, I mean i get lost even just looking how many colors their hangers come in. However, if you want an unusual way to store your things then you are out of luck.Well, I have stumbled upon these tasty little storage ideas that might just do the trick...in their own odd way.

Storage-Ideas-Contemporary-Curved-Stands from best home news

I hope you saw some interesting storage ideas for your things. I know I really want the floor-to-ceiling staircase that you can step on to get to the top! It looks slightly dangerous though!

Now I think I have been inspired to go organize my closet...

Can you paint with all the colours of the wind?

As a kid, I loved to paint with those simple Crayola watercolor paint sets. I guess since then I have been enamored with watercolors.

Images above:
1 & 2 both are children's paintings. 3. World map watercolor by Michael Tompsett.

I've been seeing watercolors in a lot of places lately, fashion, photography, home goods, paper, etc. I love the softness it adds to even a bold image. I'm dying to do a project which incorporates this technique.

Examples shown above are (from the top right):
1. Leaf Umbrella Duvet by Masha D’yans.  2. Multi-Colored Watercolor Flowered iPhone cover sold at Coveroo.  3. Wallpaper image via Rosel & Greene.  4. Watercolor brushstrokes of branches & leaves make for a pretty wall treatment by Anthropologie.  5. David Stark brushstroke dinnerware from West Elm.  6. Painters Melamine Collection from West Elm.  7. Louis Vuitton Watercolored Monogram purse.  8. Brazilian swimsuit designer, Rosa Cha’s watercolor maillot, available at Anthropologie.  9. Painterly floral wedges by Dries Van Noten.  10. Cross-body bag with watercolor print by Diesel.  11. Dress by Dennis Basso.  12. Water splash pillow by West Elm.  13. Paint palette pillo by CB2.  14. Pillow from Bluebellgray Textiles.  15. Pillows by Bluebellgray Textiles.  16. Designers Guild fabric pattern called “Tempera” in Multicolor/fuchsia.  17. Why so Grey?

No matter what shade of grey, I love it.

Grey can go with my modern furnishings or even the most traditional decor. It can soothe your soul when paired with light, airy colors like white. Depending how dark of a shade it is and what you pair it with, it can also be gloomy or, the opposite, very vibrant!

Grey is just so crisp & clean. I think it is very hot out in the design world right now too.  One of my favorite blogs is even dedicated to just the perfect color of Grey. Some may caution that Grey is just a trend, but I think it is here to stay.

Here are a few examples of why I loooove this delicious color!

Snap Shot Sunday

Some artistic treats for you today.
These are a few of my recent favorite photos. I think the photographers really captured the people in different cultures. The lighting & bright colors in some of these photos really pulled me into the space. Which one is your favorite?
