Enjoy The Art Along the Way

On my recent weekend trip to New York City, I noticed all of the subway "art", if you want to call it that, was a little drab. Can you imagine how different the subway would be if it took inspiration from these colorful subway stops in Stockholm?

Let me know what you think, should New York subway stops spice up their look or does the grity look suit the big apple?

I am going back home this weekend for a friend's wedding & have been packing all my things tonight. I think I could really use this yummy little candy for my travels!

I could use a Vacay...

After this looong week...seriously, did it not seem like this particular week went on forever?! I would say I need to get away & be refreshed! Now if only I had the money for a nice long getaway…

Conrad Hotels & Resorts in the Maldives, a chain of atolls located about 250 miles south of India, might just do the trick for me especially that inner mermaid in me. This one hotel is not any ordinary hotel. It is underwater…that’s right, under the ocean! You can have a bite at their underwater restaurant, then stay the night in the underwater hotel bedroom. Can you imagine waking up with the Indian Ocean & all its sea life floating around you? It might be too much for some being claustrophobic, but you can always sleep in the huts above the gorgeous water.

The Maldives are known for their strikingly beautiful waters & for being the lowest country in the world because on average, the land is only about two feet above sea level. Maybe with the rising sea level this is the way wave (that’s right I went there) of the future?

La Bella, Ispirando Italia!

We just had a representative, rep for short, come in and show us all these gorgeous new leathers. She was also with the president of the comapny, Green Hides, and he was the nicest man with the cutest Italian accent! It made me miss Italy so much!

However, I can't really afford a flight over to the beautiful country of Italia right now. So I thought well, I will just bring Italy to me!

Italia is such an inspiring place...I studied abroad in Florence in the Summer of '07. It was an amazing opportunity and here are a few pictures that I took from my travels.

Just a few of the gorgeous buildings of Florence.....

Walking the streets of Frienze, Italia!

Yummmmmy treats!!!

Bellal Tuscana! From villas and gardens to wine & rolling vineyards, it was a sight to take in!

The cutest little Tuscan town ever....Pienza! It smelled of parmesan cheese...everywhere.

Cinque Terra, Italia! If you had to go to one place on the coast....I would suggest Cinque Terre. Gorgeous. Classic Italian.

Back in Florence there was this fabric shop with the sweetest old man that will make my wedding dress someday...gorgeous fabrics literally fit for a queen...the queen of holland that is!

That was a nice trip down memory lane....
I feel a little better. I still wish I was there...Sigh. Soon enough!

Ok, now I feel obligated to cook some yummy pasta tonight for dinner....
we shall see!
